The SMC is pleased to announce that it will provide a bursary of up to £300 for each of five teachers or educationalists to attend the ninth British Congress of Mathematics Education which will take place at the University of Warwick, 3-6 April 2018. Held every four years under the auspices of the Joint Mathematical Council of the UK, BCME is a gathering of all the UK bodies that support mathematics learning and teaching, bodies including The Mathematical Association, the Association of Teachers of Mathematics, the Royal Statistical Society, the Edinburgh and London Mathematical Societies, the IMA, … The Congress promises to inform, challenge, refresh and entertain, and is certainly not to be missed. Should your application prove successful, we ask that in return you write an article for either the SMC Journal or the SMC Primary Journal, or else you give a presentation at the SMC Conference.
